Porcupine Studios, London: Since 1995 I've recorded alot of my film music at Porcupine Studios. Established in the early 1960's Porcupine has a history of fine recording in a musician friendly environment, headed up by a superb engineer Nick Taylor. Humphrey Lyttleton, Van Morrison, Stacey Kent, George Melly are only a few of the many musicians who have recorded there. Porcupine specialises in live studio recordings using a high quality analogue desk captured digitally at high sample rate - and has a fine 1904 Hamburg Steinway piano. Shortlisted in 2007 Nationwide Mercury Prize – An Album of the Year for the CD 'Basquiat Strings'.
